Preschool Description:
ur preschool is a learning centre for children ages 2 ½ to 5 years old. The main idea is to learn through play for the 2 ½ - 3 year olds and the 4 & 5 year old children will learn in a small kindergarten-like setting. While keeping learning activities fun, interactive, interesting and hands-on, we will integrate language arts, math, science, personal and social responsibility, creative expression, music and art in our teaching lessons, themes and centres. We will do this through the use of interaction, storybooks, manipulatives, songs, movement, puppets, crafts and science experiments.
Instructors who will work with the 4 & 5 year old group will hold an Education Degree. The Teacher for the 2 ½-3 year old group will be fully qualified and will bring years of experience. Qualified teacher assistants will also work in the class to assist with instruction and class management.
Teacher Qualifications:
One of our main goals is to hire the best teachers/assistants available. All of our teachers have:
- Bachelor of Education Degrees or Preschool Training
- Current criminal checks
- Relevant experience
- First Aid Training
Preschool Regulations:
Our facility is fully licensed through Alberta Government and will follow their regulations and standards for childcare. These regulations relate to the facility, health, safety and teacher/child ratios.
